Storyboards and Idea Notes Discovered
Items missing for over 33 years were discovered today.
The following were discovered:
- BOO the Bear Storyboard
- Zashikiro Idea Notes
- Short Animation Idea Notes
All of these were drawn in the 1980s.
However, over the course of 33 years, Harada moved frequently and was busy with work, making their storage locations unknown.
The storyboards for "Zashikiro" were drawn between 1992 and 1994, while the storyboards for "BOO" were drawn in 2024. Since the set of documents discovered today was not found at the time, Harada wrote the script and storyboards from his imagination, recalling the contents of those documents.
If the materials discovered today were adapted into films as is, they would be enough to create several more films.
Coincidentally, some of the old imagery was barely included in "Zashikiro."
And the first storyboard for "BOO" had an ending where BOO commits suicide.
This month, scientific research results were published that showed that "the music we listen to in our teens stays with us for a lifetime."

When we are young, we have the capacity and energy to absorb information, so the stories and ideas we come up with at that time may influence our creative activities for the rest of our lives.
