Mount Fuji Eruption
In addition to the multiple major earthquakes that are certain to occur in the future, Japan is also at risk of a Mount Fuji eruption.
To raise public awareness of disaster prevention, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government released a video simulation of a Mount Fuji eruption. While the timing of a Mount Fuji eruption is unpredictable, a resumption of activity is inevitable. An eruption would cause dramatic damage to Tokyo, approximately 100 km away, and its 37 million residents. The Japanese people are shaken.

However, while the Japanese people are temporarily shaken, they tend to quickly forget. This is because neoliberalism floods Japan with a vast amount of products and entertainment information every day. People are more drawn to pleasant information than painful information.
