The Japanese Communist Party (JCP) is denouncing the harmful effects of neoliberalism almost daily.
A professor emeritus at Yokohama City University describes various negative effects, including "the expansion of non-regular employment, disparities in experience, an emphasis on personal responsibility, the entrenchment of inequality and poverty, the introduction of strict management and control measures that emphasize norms (zero tolerance) in schools, intense competition through academic achievement tests, management and control, and suicide as the leading cause of death among people in their 20s," and how neoliberalism is destroying society as a whole.

The science section reports on the results of an international team's research, which shows that particles produced by wear from automobile tires are carried by rivers to oceans and lakes and accumulate in sediments (bottom left of the article).
