1971: Film director loses copyright 17

Until last time, we recorded the main lecture by Attorney Takezawa, but from this time onwards, we will be introducing comments from the participants.

(Greetings at the beginning of the meeting)

I'm O, the moderator.
Today is the first session of the film copyright study session, and I'll start by talking about anime copyrights.
Anime is handled under the film copyright law.
We, the Eien Anime Union, are an organization within the Theater-Related Industry Labor Union Joint Struggle Conference (Eienkyoto), an alliance of various in-company unions, including those related to film and theater.
There is still no organization for freelance animators. So we are a small organization that was founded 3 years ago to create a new union. *1
Today's study session will be attended by M, the representative committee member of the Musicians Union, who is actively promoting copyright movements. *2

*1 Eisanro exists for free film and animation people, but since Eienkyoto and Eisanro are de facto rivals, the description of Eisanro here has been omitted.
However, the two unions are not fighting, and they interact with each other with smiles on their faces.
However, Eienkyoto points out that Eisanro is politically motivated, which they believe is one of the reasons why unionization has not progressed.

*2 This is a different organization from the Japanese Society for Rights of Authors, Composers and Publishers (JASRAC).
