Roof Research

When Harada was in elementary school (in the 1970s), he participated in a seminar for working adults taught by University professor Suzuki, where he studied ancient Chinese culture.
At that time, Suzuki encouraged Harada to "study roofs". Harada compiled the idea into a report and submitted it to his elementary school, where it was well received.
As an assignment for a design theory class at a design school, Harada again submitted a roof research report titled "House-shaped Haniwa with Gabled Roofs" (1981). There were no word processors in those days, so the entire 30 pages were handwritten. Partway through his report this time, he began to criticize capitalism.
