Two demonstrations against the abolition of the revised immigration law and the war (Tokyo)

The first demonstration in the video has many young people, and the second demonstration has many elderly people.
Currently, in Japan, since the appearance of the youth protest group SEALDs in 2015 (now disbanded), it has been divided into two forms, one centered on young people and one centered on elderly people.
These two have different characteristics.
The youth-centered demonstrations utilize social media, feature art designs on posters, use a lot of English, use fast-paced music, and call out complex rhythms such as swing, rap, and triplet.
Young people are attracted to this form, but older people are not good at English, music with complex rhythms, or Sprechchor.
This is not a question of right or wrong; both are necessary.
(Incidentally, the second demonstration passed near "Tacoche", which sells Death Lullaby DVDs.)

Peace and freedom to Palestine 4.21 Ikebukuro demo

This is also a debate that started after the SEALDs appeared.
A group of young protesters insisted on demonstrations with individual participation and disliked group flags (banners with the names of labor unions, civic groups, etc., carried mainly by older people).
For this reason, there was a time when young groups banned group flags.
Currently, there are many cases where group participation and individual participation are separated.
In this demonstration, the first block consisted of people holding group flags, and the second block consisted of Palestinian people and individual participants.
The moment seen at 2:24 is a group of elderly people holding group flags.
However, some older people prefer individual participation and the company of young people. However, there are no young people who want to participate in demonstrations reserved for the elderly.

"NO PRIDE IN GENOCIDE! STANDING PROTEST" (Tokyo)

Indeed, until last year, everyone celebrated the LGBTQ Rainbow Parade.
But things were different this year.
The Rainbow Parade included the names of several military companies that have arms deals with Israel.
“Money from large corporations that are complicit in genocide is flowing through the rainbow parade!”
Realizing this, young LGBTQ+ people dressed in black clothing and held their own LGBTQ+ demonstrations.
