The condition of the working class in England 08

This book is a rather long treatise written by Engels when he was 24 years old.
Engels continues to be angry when he sees the misery of the English workers.
-----
Poor workers can remain human only by being angry at the bourgeoisie in power.
On the contrary, workers are nothing more than animals if they feel comfortable being collared by the ruling class.
They are always at risk of suicide and unemployment.
Saving money on living expenses won't help them.
When workers lose their jobs, their money quickly disappears.
For them, this world is not a beautiful hometown.
For them, this society is a prison ruled by bitterness, hatred, and anger towards themselves and all humanity.
For them, work is a punishment.
For them, work is not a pleasure of free will.
They have no choice but to do unpleasant jobs from morning till night in order to survive.
They had to do such painful work 12 hours a day from childhood.
They just mechanically repeat the same thing every day.
Will they be able to retain their human emotions and abilities when they reach the age of 30?
Moreover, in order for them to carry out this work, they are required to be so attentive that they have no time to think about anything else.
The bourgeoisie deprives the workers of all their free time, denying them time to sleep or eat.
The workers are left with two choices: either turn into animals and protect the interests of the bourgeoisie, or resist as much as possible and preserve their humanity.

-----
What is different about our current working environment and social structure from this situation more than 100 years ago?
Marx and Engels were the first to scientifically explain these issues.
