Harada was 19 years old when he was first shocked by Terayama.

He browsed through Terayama's play "Audience Seat'' in the theater section of a large bookstore in Tokyo.

"The opening bell. When the curtain opens, there's a curtain in the back. When that curtain goes up, there's another curtain..., Before long, arguments among the audience members begin in the audience seats.A lifeboat pops out from the audience seats.Strange events continued in various places, including the audience seats, the stage, and the basement of the stage, and a chicken was released in the audience seats along the way..."

Harada's previous thoughts and images of "theatre'' turned 360 degrees. His path was decided then.

Harada was not able to see the play in real time, but years later he saw a faithfully re-enacted version by J・A・Seazer and his theater company.
